Alberta invites provincial nominee candidates in latest selection round

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted a new draw on June 3, 2025, inviting 36 candidates under its Express Entry-aligned Dedicated Health Care Pathway. This draw targeted individuals with job offers from Alberta employers in the health care sector and marked the sixth such draw of the year. To receive an invitation, candidates needed a minimum score of 60. Additionally, they were required to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 300 and list one of nine eligible health care professions as their primary occupation in the Express Entry portal. Each eligible profession must be supported by proof of ability to practice in Alberta, verified by its respective regulatory body. All invited candidates also had to demonstrate a clear intention to live and work in Alberta.

As of 2025, Alberta has received 4,875 nomination spots under its provincial immigration allocation. So far, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has issued 2,276 provincial nominations through its various immigration streams and pathways. The AAIP’s official webpage provides regularly updated data for each pathway, including the total number of nominations allocated, how many have been issued, the number of nomination spaces still available, and the current number of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in the selection pool. For Alberta’s Dedicated Health Care Pathways—both Express Entry and non-Express Entry—the data is presented collectively, meaning figures from both pathways are combined. At the time of reporting, updated statistics reflect Alberta’s ongoing commitment to filling health care sector gaps through targeted immigration efforts.
